The goal of the Fine Arts Program is to provide an environment in which students are encouraged to explore and experiment in the visual arts as a way of self-expression. By exploring various media, materials, artists and styles, students will discover multiple ways to participate in the visual arts. Not only will students engage in art production, but will also gain experience in art history, art criticism, and art appreciation.

Class Expectations
- Treat others and the classroom with respect, this includes Ms. Hansen.
- Be prepared for class. Bring your sketchbook, pencil, CHARGED Chromebook, and earphones everyday.
- You must be in your seat when the bell rings, if not, you're tardy. School tardy policy will be enforced.
- It is your responsibility to find out what you missed if you are absent. You get 2 days to complete work for an excused absence, 1 day for unexcused absences.
- Food and drinks stay outside, bottled water is ok.
Grading Policy
Your art work will be based on the following categories:
- Fulfillment of Assignment (meet all project requirements)
- Craftsmanship (neatness)
- Use of materials (proper technique)
- Creativity (what you do above and beyond the basics)
- 90 - 100 = A
- 89 - 80 = B
- 79 - 70 = C
- 69 - 60 = D
- 59 or lower = F
